“With photography, I like to create fiction out of reality. I try and do this by taking society's natural prejudice and giving this a twist. ” Martin Parr
With photography, Martin Parr likes to create fiction out of reality.  Parr tries by doing this by taking society's natural prejudice and giving this a twist.  Parr is an interesting photographer in this new generation.  In the face of the constantly growing large amount of images released by the media, his photographs offer us as audience the opportunity to see the world from his creative perspective.
By looking at it at first, his photographs seem exaggerated like Photoshop like, or even grotesque. The designs he chooses are strange, the colors are flashy and his views are unusual. However Parr's wording for the overwhelming power of published images is "propaganda".  He counters this propaganda with his own chosen methods such as criticism, seduction and humor. As a result, his photographs are original and entertaining, approachable and clear. But at the same time they show us in a keen way that we live, how we present ourselves to others, and what we value.
For example his Portrait Project below.
I like this one its Photoshop like, I like doing alot of manupulating images like this.

  1. Good job, I wonder if you think a lot of images out there are propaganda like Parr, or if you think he's using that word a little haphazardly?

    thanks!
