Title: Fall Creek in Winter
2009
Todd Hido thought that it was strange and a wonderful kind of freedom. The snow silenced all sounds; the air was still, with no wind. With this image the light was warm and decorated on the new snow. Hido was walking with his camera, his feet were numb, and his cheeks where frozen and hurt. The joints on his tripod were hard to move, and when he touched the tripod with his bare hands; the metal was, so cold it burned that introduce this bitter cold motif of photography.
I enjoyed reading your response, I felt as if I were reading a book and felt myself wanting to read more. This image is beautifully compelling I'm taken to a place of a "fictive storybook" nature.
